Bob's Reflections of Plymouth
Ahhh, Plymouth, Indiana - county seat of Marshall County and home of the annual Blueberry Festival. But, did you know that it is also the birthplace of yours truly?
I was born in Plymouth back in 1975. I don't exactly remember the event, but my mom gives me occasional reminders. Located across the street from Centennial Park, the place where Parkview Hospital used to sit is now occupied by a KFC.
Plymouth has grown so much over the last twenty or so years. I can remember a time when you didn't have to go north of U.S. 30 to do your shopping since the G.L. Perry Variety Store, Murphy's Mart, and the G&G Supermarket were all you needed. In fact, there were no shopping centers north of the highway. So much has changed in Plymouth, but the wheels of progress continue to turn.
